camping tents in contender fest

We have a large camping area, which includes a dedicated family space.

Camping is a fantastic option so bring your tent, with security and warm showers.

Camp like a Contender.

Pitch a Tent up to 6 People Max £30

Our camp site has excellent toilet facilities on site, and you will find hot showers, with a small charge!  These facilities are cleaned on a regular basis throughout the festival and twice daily over the weekend.

The camp site opens at 3pm Friday 10th September the start of the festival weekend.

The campsite is just a stone throw away from the main event, where you will find all festival essentials and fantastic food, run by all the food vendors of the event.

Sorry Fires are not allowed on our campsite, even if raised off the ground.

Barbecues are also not allowed as we have you covered when it comes to food.

Make yourselves familiar with our fire assembly points and note where our fire safety team are situated – just in case.

Contender Fest Safety

At Contender Fest we want you to have a great time we believe that staying happy and staying safe goes hand in hand.

Whether it’s you, your children or your belongings you are worried about, below are a few things to consider, so you can keep having fun!

Not Feeling to Good?

Rain or shine there are people on hand at Contender Fest to help with any complaint, for whatever reason if you are ill or injured seek help from a first aider, go to the treatment tent in the main event site, or seek out one of our stewards who will be able to get help.

A few more points, if we get hot weather over the weekend; be sure to keep yourself hydrated, know your drinking limits and slap on some sun cream!

Glass is a No NO!

At Contender Fest we will not allow any glass to be brought into our festival main event site or onto the obstacle course area. We trust that you understand the need for such security measures. Please help us by complying with this requirement. These items are still allowed on the camp site but we ask that everybody remains respectful and remembers livestock is kept on the fields throughout the rest of the year. Recycling facilities will be made available – please use them.

Drugs is a BIG NO NO!

Remember, drugs are just as illegal at Contender Fest as they are everywhere else.

If you see anyone who looks like they may need medical attention, please find a steward, and let them know. Stewards are always on hand to help so if you see anything amiss don’t keep it to yourself, let us know, Contender.

Keep a hold of your Possessions

We have security on site who will do their best to keep the site as safe as possible but we at Contender Fest must encourage you to do all that you can to keep your possessions as secure as possible.

Only bring the essentials with you to Contender Fest, any valuables that you don’t need, the best place for them is at home.

Don’t forget you can register your gadgets with the UK National Property Register Immobilise.  This service is free and will help the police return your items to you if things go on a walk-about.

When sleeping in your tent store your valuables well away from the door. The safest place to stow your most valuable items whilst you sleep is at the bottom of your sleeping bag alongside your tired feet!

Contender only bring the Bank cards you need, leave all non-essentials ones at home. Keep a record of phone numbers such as your banks emergency number to call if your card is lost or stolen. Don’t just save them on your phone in case, you may lose this as well, who knows.

“If you prepare for the worst guest what, your prepared”

Your Dog ‘N’ Bone – Phone

If you can bring an old one, more kudos to you, leave your shiny, snazzy phone at home for the weekend.

At least make sure it’s insured.

Your Priceless Ones! Child Safety

Contender Fest children will be given a clear wristband. An Adult or Guardian should write their contact name and number on it. This is for your child’s safety.

Our lost children point will be at the Event Control in the main event site. Should you become separated from your child, please go to see one of our team there. Please be aware, that our security team will not let children in or out of the arena without an adult, again, this if for their safety. Please do not ask them to make any exceptions. (if they have a camping wristband allowances will be made.)

Lost Property

Report any lost or stolen items to the Event Control located in the main event site. If you find something that does not belong to you, don’t just keep it, do the right thing Contender and hand it in to the Event control so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
